The Mercantile Bank of India, Ltd., Hong Kong,

Bote Issue Bill.

On 7th February last our Hong Kong Manager advised

us that an Amended Bill had been drafted and transmitted

to the Secretary of State for approval, and today we are

in receipt of a telegram from Hong Kong asking us to

consult you as to the undertaking required, mentioned in

your telegram of 29th ulto. to His Excellency The Governor

of Hong Kong.
